God Breaks Every One
Jesus breaks every chain, whether we like the bondage or hate it. We are meant to be free to follow Him whole-heartedly, nothing holding us back or standing in our way.
We offer some of our chains to Him….remove this, Lord – maybe issues of our past, or chains other have put on us. But, we keep some seemingly hidden, because we have to admit, we don’t mind them. We even paint those chains pretty colors so they blend in more and look like they belong.
But God says, Trust me! There is better. I will never deceive you – what you give up pales in comparison to what I offer. I know it hurts and I may seem cruel right now…but you will thank me. You will love your freedom in me. What you were chained to will be seen as it really is – a cheap substitute, a nicely painted grave, rotten, infested food. The enemy is an expert at illusion and disguise – you must trust I will lead you to life and peace. A real banquet waits you in my presence, fullness of heart and mind, joy. Seek me first and most and everything else will fall into place. Confusion will end. You will see clearly what’s true. Don’t cling to your mud pie when I hold out delicacies more wonderful than you could even imagine.
1 Corinthians 13:12
For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror;
then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part;
then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
