Luke 12:8-9 “And I say to you, everyone who confesses Me before men, the Son of Man will confess him also before the angels of God; 9 but he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.
It is very ironic that we are ever ashamed of God. Truly – how absurd. Here is this perfect being that is entirely good and loving. He is the Creator; we are the created. He could be and act any way He wants and He is always good and kind. He stooped down to be a part of our lives – frail, sinful people that have so much trouble thinking of anyone but ourselves. Without God, we are faithless, vile, unforgiving, petty, selfish creatures, aren’t we? We try so hard to convince everyone (and ourselves) that we are so great, but at our core we know that without God’s intervention, we are hopeless.
But God changes all of this.
He brings hope and life to our sick, rotting hearts, We find in Him we have a chance of a good and blessed life. We are valued and loved – not because we deserve it, but because God tells us so.
How can we ever be ashamed of our amazing God? What human being could ever compare to His beautiful, eternal, holy character? Let us always speak His name boldly, with adoration, regardless of the consequence. He is worth it. He has made us worth it
